Welcome to Morgan Glure
This handsome fellow is the newest member of Jan and Fred Glure's family! Morgan is a six year old Shetland Sheepdog and word is that he's settling in nicely.
Now that Fred has joined Jan in volunteering for Sit Stay Read (yeah, Mr. Fred!), can Morgan be far behind? We hope not!

Chicago Memories
Exciting news!! You can now get your very own copy of "Chicago Memories" by our very own MK Czerwiec.
For those of you who don't know MK, in addition to being Sit Stay Read board president, drawing the artwork for our student pages and Dog of the Year portrait, and many other roles too numerous to mention, she illustrated this fabulous book about Chicago.
It's my new favorite gift for fellow Chicago lovers. You can buy it online or find it locally at Enjoy in Lincoln Square, 4727 N. Lincoln Ave.
Enjoy!

Dizzy Dogg Contest Winner
Well, Bandit did us proud at the Dizziest Dogg contest and we're claiming second place (there was only one declared winner.) Turns out that the main part of the contest was having your dog chase his tail and, although Bandit does that on his own when he's bored, we've never tried it on command. Nonetheless, he did manage a few turns and he even demonstrated his circus dog trick on the exercise ball.
The winner of the $500 was Tootsie Roll, an 11 year-old dachshund, and I have to admit that even I was cheering for her. She was a charmer and just loved chasing her tail. Congratulations Tootsie! Bandit is more than happy with his huge bag of tasty goodies from Dizzy Dogg (and he doesn't even mind sharing them with Shandy.)
Many thanks to WLIT-FM and Dizzy Dogg for a great time! Here's a link to their photos so you can see the other contestants.

Bandit Made It!
Just got a call from Katie at WLIT-FM and found out Bandit's been chosen as a contestant for the Dizziest Dog contest at this weekend's Pet Expo!! Shandy usually gets all the attention so this is a chance for Bandit to be in the spotlight.
Come out to Arlington Park Racecourse to see him compete for the title of Dizziest Dog on Sunday at 2:00. If you can't make it you can still see his circus dog trick on YouTube.
As if the title isn't enough, Bandit could win $500! Good thing we've been practicing.

Gracie Elizabeth Murphy
Here's the newest addition to the Sit Stay Read family--Gracie Murphy, daughter of SSR co-founder, Sarah Murphy, on her first visit to the office!
Gracie was born on Feb 3rd, making her five weeks old today. Happy birthday, Gracie!
Now that he's a big brother, Mike decided it was time he lent a hand. That's Jenn doing some computer training with him yesterday.
