Just like a lot of families at the turn of the century, we spent the day at the cemetery.
Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed but other than that, it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
The Forest Home Cemetery has lots of interesting people buried there and the historical society has actors portray some of them--that's Emma Goldman pictured here.
It's a great way to get a glimpse into the past, learn some tidbits about the area and people. Did you know Billy Sunday (who couldn't shut down our toddlin' town) was a baseball player before getting born again?
Mark your calendar for next year's Tale of the Tombstone on October 19, 2008 and maybe we'll see you there!
